What is Jaxx?
Jaxx is a multi-blockchain software application that allows You to create and manage many different wallets, all of which are derived from a Backup Phrase (i.e. 12 word seed) supplied by You or generated through Jaxx.
The app is currently available for Android, iOS, Chrome, Windows, MacOS and Linux.
You can store and manage 90+ digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Dogecoin, and ERC-20 tokens.
Some Features:
- Buy / Trade Module: Third-party apps like Changelly and ShapeShift can be accessed from your wallet to let you buy and sell supported digital assets instantly.
- Holdings module: Check out your asset balance, track individual coins and tokens, and follow value changes over the last hour, day, week and month.
- Pricing and News modules, Multi-chain block explorers, etc.
Security:
Jaxx is a non-custodial blockchain wallet, which means you own the keys. You’re in control. Get started with an industry-standard 12-word backup phrase that is portable to and from other wallets.
Jaxx doesn’t store any user information, wallet data, or digital assets on any centralized server. All wallet files are stored strictly client-side, which means that Jaxx has no central point of failure. As long as you have a written copy of your wallet’s 12-word backup phrase, you will be able to back up or restore all wallet assets indefinitely.
